Training case

An acidic dessert has a crisp base and cream. Pronounced acidity can be acceptable when it supports balance; the judge’s preference for more sweetness is not a deduction criterion.

From observation to criterion

A soft base is linked to execution; difficulty taking a bite is linked to functional presentation. Explain each observed effect before selecting a score.

Reviewing differences

If texture descriptions differ, review the sampled portions and tasting times before explaining disagreement or changing the decision.

This is a published hypothetical training example, not a competition result or completed student project. It illustrates decision documentation and does not establish experimental superiority.
